We found no complete Türkiye Bursları university list published outside the application system. YTB says you choose from the universities and departments the system offers for your level and background, with up to 12 placement options (Türkiye Scholarships). So the list you see depends on you, and this page shows how to use it, not a list to copy.
Placement is made by YTB. The official pages we read do not say how choices are weighed, how many scholars each university takes, or whether you can transfer later, so we do not claim any of that.
Applications run 10 January to 20 February each year per the official calendar. We found no 2027 announcement yet (calendar).

Before you rank your choices
- Check you are eligible for your level (age and minimum achievement) in the main guide.
- Open the system and filter by your level and field. Note every programme offered to you.
- For each, check the language of instruction, the city and the department’s own page.
- Write your shortlist outside the portal first, so you can compare before you submit.
You can only choose what the system offers, so a university you have heard of may not appear for your level. That is not an error in your account.
Building your 12 choices
YTB does not publish how choices are used. Everything below is our advice, not a rule from YTB.
- Use all 12 if you have 12 genuine fits. A choice you would not accept is a choice you should leave off.
- Rank by programme fit first. Put the programme that best fits your field and plans first, then think about city.
- Mix well-known and less-known options. We could not verify a split such as “2 big-city and 10 smaller-city” or any statistic on Istanbul odds, so treat these as heuristics only.
- Be willing to live in any city you list. You may be placed at any choice, so list only places you would accept.
- Match your background. A closely related degree to the programme makes your choice easier to defend in an interview.
Example of how to organise a shortlist (categories only, not named universities, since offerings vary):

Language of instruction
The system lets you check the language of instruction as you choose programmes (application steps). Separately, scholars without C1 Turkish take a one-year Turkish course, even for programmes taught in another language, and failing it can freeze or end the scholarship (YTB FAQ). Check a programme’s language before you rank it.
Success Scholarship: not a placement route
The Success Scholarship is a different award for foreign students already studying in Türkiye. It is not tied to a university list or to the 12 choices, and people who have ever held a Türkiye Scholarship are excluded in the 2024 terms. Mistakes to avoid
- Looking for a downloadable list. We found none, so work from the system.
- Listing programmes you would not accept. You can be placed at any of them.
- Ignoring the language of instruction.
- Relying on unofficial lists or odds. We could not verify claims such as a 0.4% chance for Istanbul.

Last checked: 20 October 2026. We read the official Türkiye Scholarships pages on why the scholarship, full-time programmes, application steps, the calendar and the Turkish-language FAQ, and read them for anything on university lists, placement and choices.
Limits: the official pages we could read do not publish a university list, choice weighting, quotas per university or transfer rules, and we found no figures for them. We therefore name no partner universities, give no count of them and quote no odds by city. Advice is labelled as ours.
